Deadlock Nurse Harrow: Abilities, Build and How to Play

Deadlock Nurse Harrow joined the game on 20 October 2026. She heals allies, collects leeches and defers damage through Wretched Vapors. Treating that last ability as free protection is an easy mistake. Your teammate survives the initial hit, then dies when the bill arrives.
Understand the healing cycle and the consequences of the vapors before choosing items. Below you will find the kit, a plan for your first fights and live purchase data from the same source as our tier list. Mechanics checked on 24 October 2026.

Who Nurse Harrow is
Valve describes her with the tags Strict, Terrifying, Savior. These come from the game’s own material, rather than an invented role classification. Harrow works at the Marble Hill Possession Ward, with a kit built around treatment, possession and a bag full of other people’s nightmares.
The release is confirmed in Valve’s announcement. You are no longer waiting for a vote result or another preview. You can select her and practise the kit in the game.
Abilities: four things to understand
Leech Therapy: collect what you release
Leeches damage enemies and shorten their buffs. Collecting fed leeches heals Harrow and builds bonuses; dying costs some accumulated stacks. Do not finish the play when the jar connects. Plan where you can collect the leeches after the trade.
Wretched Vapors: plan for the effect ending
The vapors accelerate actions and store incoming damage in specters. Healing removes them before settlement; remaining specters return delayed damage with an extra penalty as actions slow. Before supporting a teammate’s engage, prepare healing and a retreat route.
Healing Needles: manage your syringes
You switch to a magazine of healing syringes. Damage and collected leeches replenish the resource. Reloading spends a charge; putting the weapon away refunds unused syringes as a partial charge. Practise switching modes before doing it while an ally retreats.
Lurking Terrors: watch their facing direction
Enemies looking at Harrow build terror, lose access to stamina and movement abilities, then flee in fear. Looking away changes the interaction. Position so an opponent has to choose between facing you and watching the rest of the fight.
We checked the descriptions against a mirror of Valve’s game text. SteamTracking hosts the files and is not their publisher. Check upgrade details and numerical values in the client after patches.
We connect to your PC remotely, save a restore point, then work through power, drivers and input. The BIOS we go through together on a Discord call while you show us the screen with your phone. The same benchmark at the end shows how much of it landed. For six months after the session we stay with you on Discord.

The module below uses our match data to show purchases. Check the queue, match count and update timestamp. A popular purchase describes the sampled players. An item’s win rate alone does not prove that buying it caused the win.
Data: deadlock-api.com, the same source as our tier list. Last 7 days, ranked queue, 65,281 matches, hero win rate 49.2%. Updated 24 October 2026.

The tier comes from our Deadlock item tier list. Late-game items show an inflated win rate, because teams that are already ahead are the ones buying them.
Compare the data with our daily Deadlock tier list. Before buying again, identify your problem: dying before you can heal, losing contact with your target or having no answer to an engage. Then judge whether the purchase fits that situation.
A game plan from lane to the first fight
In lane, use cover and keep track of your partner. After a trade, know their position and where you can retreat together. Collecting leeches under fire is a poor exchange if you give away your life and the resources you already built.
For your first matches, choose one training goal: finish each trade with a healing plan. Do not start another fight just because an enemy looks low. Check whether your team can follow before you move beyond its reach.
In a teamfight, choose a position that lets you see your ally and step back behind a wall. Stand too far away and you lose contact; stand on top of the first target and enemies can catch both of you in one engage. Tell your partner whom you intend to support.
Treat Vapors as a commitment. Track the supported player through the action rather than turning your camera away after the cast. If they retreat around a corner, move with them or warn that you are losing access. The follow-through belongs to the play.
Mistakes to check in your replay
Review a lost fight from the point where you could still choose your position. Pause before the first hit. Check your view of the teammate, the exit and whether an enemy was already approaching your flank. Looking only at the death misses the earlier decision.
Write down one correction for the next match: applying vapors to someone you immediately lost sight of, reloading without a plan or collecting resources without enemy information. One correction gives you a usable goal. A list of ten complaints is harder to turn into a decision.
Review your matches in Deadlock Replay Analyzer. For another pair of eyes, see our 1-on-1 Deadlock coaching. Find the other characters in our Deadlock heroes guide.
Start by maintaining contact with your team and following through on your plays. Once you can repeat that, review purchases and match outcomes. Selecting a hero with healing will not repair an engage made without information.
Frequently asked questions
Is Nurse Harrow available now?
Yes. Valve released her on 20 October 2026, completing the City Never Sleeps hero releases.
Where do your build and statistics come from?
From our data module using the same source as the UltimateMove tier list. The module identifies the sample, queue and update time.
Is the purchase list a fixed build order?
No. Match the next purchase to the situation. Popularity in the data does not replace judging your opponents and your own problems.
Where should I start learning Harrow?
Practise weapon switching and supporting one partner. In the replay, check whether you kept sight of them throughout the play.
Is one match enough to judge my play?
No. Review decisions across several fights and look for a recurring mistake. Winning does not validate every decision you made.
What if the game stutters during fights?
Investigate performance separately. Our Deadlock optimization guide covers measurement and diagnostic steps; keep stuttering separate from judging your hero choice.
If fights lose their smoothness, see our Deadlock optimization guide or compare the scope of our remote PC optimization.
Frames dropping exactly when the fight starts?
That drop lands in the one second that decides the round, and no graphics preset fixes it. We tune Windows, drivers and network remotely, and the BIOS together with you on a Discord call. You measure it yourself, in your own game, before and after, with us watching.
