Deadlock Deadman Danny: okładka z oficjalną kartą bohatera

Deadlock Deadman Danny is a rocket-pack hero who combines aerial pressure with hunting weakened enemies. Start by learning where to land and how to follow up on a marked target. Flying above the enemy team alone will not give you a safe opening.

Valve released Danny on October 13, 2026 as part of City Never Sleeps. Below are his current abilities, the significance of his October buffs and a plan for learning the hero. Builds and statistics come from UltimateMove’s tools so future patches do not leave you with an outdated shopping list.

Who Deadman Danny is

Danny works for Fairfax Industries and tests equipment that leaves little room for caution. Valve gives him the tags Reckless, High-flying and Explosive. This guide focuses on your decisions: preparing a target, choosing a firing angle and returning to your team after an attack.

Flight gives you another view of a fight, but you still need to track your allies. Before committing, check the minimap and see who can follow up. If your team is still approaching the objective, begin with pressure rather than becoming the first player surrounded by enemies.

Abilities: marks, flight and finishing

We checked the names and mechanics against Valve’s text in the game files. The advice below is a practice plan, not a claim about tested build performance.

Strix Salvo

Missiles create a line of danger and mark enemies they hit. A charged shot against a mark triggers additional damage and a slow.

Practise placing the salvo across a retreating target’s route. Then check whether you can land the charged shot without abandoning cover. Record missed shots separately from situations where the enemy reached safety before you fired. Those are different problems to work on.

Chimera Mk1

Flying builds heat. Overheating leads to a dive, and missing every hero stuns Danny himself. The pack must cool before you fly again.

Choose your return point before taking off. In practice, pick cover, fly around an obstacle and return without chasing a target. Add shooting afterwards. This helps you judge distance and finish a manoeuvre where you intended, instead of searching for somewhere to land after takeoff.

Jettison Fuel

The fuel spray reduces bullet resistance. Its final backblast pushes Danny backwards; dealing damage with this ability also cools the pack.

Position yourself so the backblast takes you somewhere safe. If the space behind you is an open street controlled by enemies, reconsider your approach. In a replay, pause before casting and inspect the area you were not watching during the fight.

Close The Deal

Danny grabs an enemy and crashes down with them. Both take damage, so include your own health when deciding whether to commit.

Name and ping your target before using it. Avoid starting an attack on a different enemy from the one your allies are focusing. Afterwards, judge the cost as well: did your team gain ground, or did they have to rescue you from another fight?

What changed in the 10-14-2026 patch?

Valve increased base health from 680 to 730 and reduced Strix Salvo’s base cooldown from 30 to 25 seconds. Close The Deal’s bonus against targets below half health rose from 50% to 75%. See the official patch notes.

That is a reason to set aside guides covering only his launch version. It does not mean you can win every trade. Keep comparing health, available abilities and team positions. Check a recording’s match date before copying the decisions you see.

The tier comes from our Deadlock item tier list. Late-game items show an inflated win rate, because teams that are already ahead are the ones buying them.

Before your next purchase, name the problem: are you running out of time to shoot, dying after committing or struggling to reach the fight? Then read the item’s description. Do not carry an entire shopping list from one match into the next without accounting for the enemy team.

A plan for your first matches

In lane, protect your souls and health, then add aggression when you spot a specific enemy mistake. If you are switching from an FPS, revisit the Deadlock guide for FPS players. Aim alone does not determine whether leaving a wave to join a fight is worthwhile.

After a match, choose one death following a flight and one missed mark follow-up. Review the moment before your decision. Note the information you lacked and choose one change for your next match. This gives you a specific practice task instead of a vague resolution to play better.

Open your match in the Deadlock Replay Analyzer. To discuss your decisions with a coach, see 1-on-1 Deadlock coaching. Prepare your Match ID and the moment you want to discuss. Find the rest of the roster in the Deadlock hero directory.
