Deadlock coaching: match review and your next steps

Deadlock coaching at UltimateMove means reviewing your decisions, rotations, fights and purchases together. Bring a match and the question you want to work on. We use that context to decide what you should practise next.
You can aim well and still lose an advantage by joining a fight or leaving a lane at the wrong time. During a review, we go back to the decisions before the mistake: what you saw, what you could reasonably expect and which options you had.
Who this session is for
If you are new, choose a problem that comes up in most matches: collecting resources, losing track of the map or not knowing what to buy. Players coming from CS2 or Valorant bring different habits from League of Legends or Dota players. Your own gameplay makes those habits easier to discuss.
If you know the basics, bring a specific question. Why do you lose momentum after winning your lane? When did a rotation cost more than it gained? What happened before the fight you entered without a plan? These questions keep the session focused on decisions you can change.
What we review in your match
We look at your lane, rotation timing and positioning before fights. We also review how your purchases fit the match. The footage determines the focus: one game may reveal lost resources, another may show fights taken without enough information.
At each important moment, we separate what you knew at the time from what the replay reveals later. That lets you judge your decision without pretending you could see the entire map while playing.
If your problem is performance, choose the scope of remote PC work. We compare results in your game before and after the session.
A Discord session or written feedback
During a Deadlock coaching , we discuss your gameplay on Discord. You can ask why a particular decision mattered. Check the service page for the current description, price and available appointments before booking.
If you prefer to send footage without attending a live session, we offer an offline review. You receive written feedback and guidance for further practice. Include your game, hero and the question you want answered.
What to prepare
Choose a recent match that you can access. Note its ID, your hero and the moments you want to understand. Our Deadlock Replay Analyzer lets you check what information your material provides. Make sure the recording or replay opens before the session.
Describe what you were trying to achieve. “I wanted to help my team here, but lost my lane” provides more context than “my team was bad”. You do not need to know the answer before the review.
If the game stutters, check your PC too
Frame stutters, delayed mouse response and a poor fight decision each need their own assessment. If you suspect performance, start with our frametime measurement guide and Deadlock optimization guide. Use the results to decide whether remote PC optimization.
Learning while the game is in development
Valve describes Deadlock as a game in early development and has not announced a release date. Specific builds and routes therefore need the context of the game version. Check the official Steam pagefor the project status. There is no basis for promising a performance update date or a future rank.
Choose a match and write down a recurring problem in your gameplay. That gives us a basis for deciding whether to start with a review, independent practice or a PC assessment.
Frequently asked questions
Can a beginner book coaching?
Yes. Describe what you find difficult and prepare a match or recording. The review can focus on what you already understand and what you want to learn.
Can the session focus on one hero?
Include your hero and topic when you contact us. We can confirm the scope before booking, especially if you want help with a specific matchup or mechanic.
Do I need to join a voice call?
Live sessions take place on Discord. If you need a format without a meeting, check the offline review with written feedback.
How many sessions will it take to rank up?
That cannot be determined in advance. It depends on your starting point, goal and practice between sessions. The review identifies things to work on; it does not guarantee a rank increase.
Will coaching fix FPS drops?
The session focuses on gameplay. Performance problems need a separate assessment based on measurements and symptoms. Remote PC optimization is also available.
Where can I check the price and availability?
The Deadlock Coaching service page lists the current terms. If you are unsure which format to choose, describe your problem before purchasing.
Frames dropping exactly when the fight starts?
That drop lands in the one second that decides the round, and no graphics preset fixes it. We tune Windows, drivers and network remotely, and the BIOS together with you on a Discord call. You measure it yourself, in your own game, before and after, with us watching.
