Deadlock punishes mistakes differently from other games. One lost objective fight can hand the enemy a gold deficit there is no coming back from - comebacks here are unusually hard. That is why understanding when to fight and when to give up ground pays more than learning another combo.
What we go through in a session
Macro and map flow. When to push, when to rotate, when to concede a lane so you do not lose more. That is the biggest difference between a player standing still and one climbing - and that knowledge does not expire with a patch.
Rotations and routing. Fastest paths, roof shortcuts, wall-bounce techniques and holding onto your character's acceleration. We check how you combine movement with your hero's abilities, because in Deadlock that is one subject, not two.
Team fights. Positioning, comms, picking a focus target that fits the situation. We also check whether your baiting is a deliberate play or simply ruining the fight for your team.
Builds and items. In Deadlock builds shape the game so heavily that you can lose a match entirely by yourself, just by ignoring what the enemy is buying. We teach reacting, not memorising a list.
Your hero's role. The question is simple - do you actually know what your character is for within the team. Surprisingly often the answer is no, and that explains most of the losses.
If you play Oracle or Eternus
We move into decision-making and how fast you react to what is happening on the map, into team behaviour, and into why a specific match was beyond saving. Eternus is the highest rank in Deadlock and only a few percent of ranked players reach it - if you are there, we talk about nuances, not basics.
An honest word on the state of the game
Deadlock is still under active development and changes every few months. For that reason we do not treat this as settled knowledge. Even though routing and builds matter enormously in this game, there is no point mastering them before the official release - the next patch can invalidate them. So we teach what survives: reading the map, decisions and adapting to change.
If you want to know what is strong right now, we have a separate tool for that - a tier list calculated daily from real matches.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the coach actually play, or does he just sell sessions?
A fair question in this industry, and we have nothing to hide. There is a gameplay recording linked in the description below, and Replay Room holds recordings from real coaching breakdowns. Check the level before you spend anything.
I am coming from MOBAs or tactical shooters. What carries over to Deadlock?
From MOBAs you bring macro, map reading and objective thinking. From shooters, aim and positional awareness. Each route leaves a different gap to fill, and a session deals with exactly your gap instead of explaining things you already know.
The meta shifts every few weeks. Will the session go stale with the next patch?
Some specifics will - which is why we do not build sessions around a list of builds. Reading the map, timing rotations, positioning in team fights and picking a focus target work regardless of the patch. Current data lives separately, in the tier list, which refreshes every 24 hours.
What should I prepare before the session?
A replay from your last loss, ideally one you thought was unfair. You can run it through our free replay analyzer first and turn up with a specific question.
I am low ranked. Is it too early?
No. At lower ranks there are usually a few very specific habits costing the most matches, and those are the fastest points to win back.
My game stutters - does that affect results?
More than you think - in a game at this pace, micro-stutter during a team fight decides the fight. If you suspect hardware, start with PC optimization, and separately we have a free guide to the Deadlock FPS config.

*The topics discussed in a given session may vary due to natural differences in each match, and the topics listed below are only examples and do not define/limit the session.
*The game is constantly being developed and changes every few months, which is why, as a company, we don't approach the subject with 100% certainty. Although it is extremely important in the game, it makes no sense for us to master routing or builds until the official release.
*Personally, I had a great time playing 2024. I have high hopes for the success of this game and wish everyone that this coaching would become one of our flagship products – KaRzye.
- If there is a specific topic that interests you, feel free to let us know and we will discuss it.

If you are a high elo player – Oracle/Eternus
- Decision-making analysis (reaction time to what is happening),
- Not every game can be won – we will find out why this one couldn't be won – in this game, comebacks can be incredibly difficult due to huge financial deficits.
- We will evaluate the team's behavior,
- Just like in LoL, builds define gameplay to such an extent that you can lose the game on your own by ignoring what your opponent is doing in this regard.
- Roof shortcuts, wall bounce techniques, methods for maintaining character acceleration.
- Routing optimization is crucial, analyzing the combination of movement techniques with the skills of a given character.
- We'll check if you're baiting well or just trolling the game.
