You sleep eight hours and you are still wrecked
It is one of the most frustrating things, because there is nothing to blame. You slept, and the energy is still not there. In game it shows up as slower reactions and decisions you would have made on instinct on a better day, except you explain it to yourself as being off form or a bad patch.
There is usually no single cause. There are several small ones stacked on top of each other, and each on its own looks irrelevant.
What we go through in the session
Thirty minutes one on one, built on your actual day rather than an idealised one.
- Meal timing - when you eat and when you do not. A ranked session starting six hours after your last meal looks exactly like it sounds.
- Hydration - the most obvious point and the one most often skipped. The drop in concentration when you are dehydrated is measurable and needs nothing more than a glass of water next to your desk.
- Daylight - if you leave the house after dark and come back after dark, your body clock has nothing to set itself by. That affects both your sleep and your energy during the day.
- Caffeine and its timing - not how much, but when. A coffee at five in the afternoon can wreck the sleep that was supposed to fix yesterday fatigue. The loop closes in a matter of days.
- How the evening ends - what you do in the last hour before bed, and why after the final match you lie there for half an hour with your head full of a round that is already over.
What this does not include
We also put together practical eating around your play: meal timing, what to eat before a long session and what to avoid in the evening. This is performance-oriented guidance rather than a therapeutic diet, so for allergies and conditions requiring supervised nutrition we refer you to a clinical dietitian.
An important line to draw: if the fatigue is chronic, or comes with low mood or other symptoms, take it to a doctor. Constant exhaustion despite full nights of sleep can have medical causes that no coaching will detect.
Frequently asked questions
How long before I feel a difference?
With hydration and caffeine timing, a few days. With your sleep rhythm, two or three weeks, because the body needs time to shift. You leave the session with a set order of changes so you are not doing everything at once.
I work shifts. Can anything be done about that?
It can, just differently. With variable hours you do not set a fixed rhythm, you set rules for each type of day. It is a harder case, so mention it at the start of the session.
How is this different from the daily plan?
This session is about where your energy comes from. Plan dnia is about how to spread it out: when to play, when to practise, when to let go. People often take them together, but you can start with either.
What if the fatigue is physical, from sitting?
That is a separate area and we cover it too, see stamina for long sessions and desk ergonomics. A stiff neck after four hours is not a sleep problem.
Will this affect my rank?
Indirectly, through the quality of your decisions in the second and third hour of a session. If you want a measurable improvement in the game itself, combine it with coaching, where we work on your own matches.
Related: constant fatigue usually has two layers: your daily habits and your body after many hours in a chair. The second one is covered by the stamina session. If fatigue is showing up in your ranked results, it is also worth looking at our coaching offer.
