Ranked until two, alarm at seven
You know the pattern: work or school until five, dinner, a moment on your phone, then one quick game that ends at two in the morning. The next day the same, with less in reserve. After a week of that your reaction time and your decisions get worse, and you put it down to being off form.
The heart of the problem is rarely how much you play. It is that you play your hardest matches at the worst point of the day, when your head has already been used up by everything else.
What we do in the session
Thirty minutes one on one. We lay out your day so that gaming does not come at the cost of everything else, and so that it does not happen at the hour when it gives you the least.
- Your peak window - we work out when you actually think most clearly and move ranked or practice into that slot. The rest of the day can be filled with things that do not need you at your best.
- Block length and count - how many matches in a row make sense, when to break, and how to tell that playing on is only costing you rank.
- Ending the session - how to close the evening so you can actually fall asleep instead of lying there replaying the last round for an hour. It is the most commonly skipped part of the whole day.
- Room for the rest of your life - school, work, people, sleep. A plan that ignores those stops working on day three.
- The days you do not play - and why they are part of the plan rather than a break from it.
Who this is for
For players who put in a lot of hours at irregular times and then wonder why their results stand still. Also for those who have little time and want to get the most out of it, rather than landing their two hours at a point where nothing sinks in.
If the problem is fatigue itself rather than how your day is arranged, start with the energy session.
Frequently asked questions
Will I have to play less?
Not necessarily. More often it is about shifting the hours than about cutting them. Sometimes though the sensible conclusion is to skip the fourth match in a row, and then we say so, because that is what you are paying for.
My work or school hours are irregular.
Then we do not set a fixed schedule but rules for each type of day: a short day, a long day, a day off. It is harder but it works, so mention it at the start of the session.
Is this not just calendar planning?
A calendar is a tool. The session is about the decisions you put into it: what goes where, how much of it fits and what should not go in at all. You leave with a finished layout for the week, not an empty grid.
I play casually and I am not aiming at esports. Is this still worth it?
It is, often more so. When time is limited every hour costs more, so arranging it well makes a bigger difference than it does for someone playing six hours a day.
What if my plan falls apart after a week?
That is normal and it is priced in. This is why we set a minimum plan, the version you can hold on to during a bad week. If you want support over a longer stretch, there is the monthly ULTIMATE Lifestyle programme.
