Talent gets you started, discipline gets you results
Almost every player knows someone with better aim who ended up lower. And the reverse: someone with no exceptional gift who climbed high because they practised consistently and knew what they were practising. The difference almost never lies in talent, it lies in what you do during the week when nothing is improving.
This session is about that second part: how to build a way of working that survives a dip in form and plain boredom.
What we do in the session
Thirty minutes one on one, matched to your level and to the amount of time you actually have.
- Goals you can actually check - turning I want to get better into something you can say yes or no about in two weeks.
- Training routine - what to do before a session, during it and after it. Most players just play and hope it comes on its own.
- Plateau - the most common moment people give up. We explain why it is a normal stage and how to get through it without changing everything at once.
- Mindset after a loss - the difference between analysis and beating yourself up. The first improves your game, the second just ruins your evening.
- Consistency when time is short - how to practise sensibly when you have four hours a week rather than four a day.
Who this is for
For players who put in the hours with no plan and can see their results have stood still for months. Also for those getting serious from the start, who want to set up how they work now rather than discover a year later that they were practising the wrong things.
Frequently asked questions
Is this not just a motivational chat?
No. You leave with a concrete plan for the coming weeks: what to practise, how often, and how to recognise progress. Motivation comes from visible progress, not the other way round.
Will this work without working on the game itself?
Discipline without direction burns out quickly, because nothing visible comes of it. This session works best combined with analysis of your own matches, CS2 coaching, Valorant or League of Legends - so that you know what to work on.
I have just been demoted and I feel like giving up.
That is the best moment for this session and the worst moment for decisions. A demotion after a losing run usually says more about when and how you were playing than about your level.
Is this mental coaching or life coaching?
Gaming coaching. We work on training discipline and mindset in the context of the game. If you also want to sort out your day, your sleep and your energy, that is a separate area, see daily planning.
How long before I see an effect?
You get the plan itself immediately. The effect on your rank depends on how much you play, but you will feel the change in training quality within the first week, usually because you finally know why you are launching the game.
Related: discipline without a training plan burns out fast, because you cannot see progress. After this session it is worth setting a concrete plan in a CS2 session or League of Legends - then the discipline has somewhere to lead.
