You are stuck at a rank, dying first in most rounds, and your aim is there one day and gone the next. Most players in that situation train more of the same. A 1:1 session does something else - it goes through your own matches and names the three habits costing you rounds in every game.
What we go through in a session
Aim and movement. Counter-strafing, crosshair placement, and whether the way you move is taking away shots you should be hitting. We also check your settings - sensitivity matched to your grip does more than another hour in Aim Lab.
Abilities. When and where to use them so they create space instead of burning into thin air. That is the most common difference between a player who sits at a rank and one who climbs out of it.
Decisions. Where to stand after first contact, when to give up the site, when to play for time. We go through your losses and look for the pattern.
Mindset. How to stay calm in rounds that matter and not hand over three more after losing one.
If you play Ascendant or above
We go deeper: decision-making and how fast you react to what is happening on the map, rotations, team behaviour, the quality of your comms and positioning. We also check whether your baiting is a deliberate play or simply ruining the round for your team. And we say it plainly when a match was unwinnable - that is information too, because it lets you stop blaming yourself for things outside your control.
Live or VOD review
You can pick a live review or a VOD review, which we especially recommend. With a recording the coach can pause, rewind and show you the exact moment a decision went wrong - live, some of that slips past. If you have no time for an online meeting, you get the analysis in writing: see the VOD review.
The scope of a session is not a fixed list - it changes depending on what your matches show. If you have a specific topic you want to focus on, message us beforehand and we will prepare for it.
Frequently Asked Questions
I am low ranked - is that not a waste of the coach's time?
The opposite. At lower ranks there are usually a few very specific habits costing the most rounds, and those are the fastest points to win back. The harder work is with a player who already has everything in order and is chasing the last few percent.
What should I prepare before the session?
A recording or demo from your last loss - ideally one you thought was unfair. Those are the most instructive. A list of the agents you play most also helps.
Is it really a skill problem and not my hardware?
Not always. Input lag, a sensor skipping pixels or badly chosen eDPI all produce exactly the same "sometimes I hit, sometimes I do not" feeling. Before you spend on coaching, check your settings in the eDPI calculator. If you suspect hardware, we handle that separately in PC optimization, where we measure latency before and after. We will tell you that plainly in the session rather than selling you another one.
And what if the problem is in my head, not my mechanics?
That is common and there is nothing embarrassing about it. If losing one round costs you the next three, mechanics will not fix that - we have separate sessions on tilt control and on playing under pressure.
How many sessions before I see a difference?
One is enough to learn what you are doing wrong and leave with a plan. What happens next depends on whether you follow it - which is why you leave with something concrete to practise rather than a list of platitudes.
Can the coach actually play?
A fair question in this industry. You can check the level of our coaches before spending anything - recordings from real breakdowns are in Replay Room.
