A goal without a deadline is a wish
I want to climb higher is not a goal. There is no date, no measure and no first step, so every evening looks the same: you sit down, you play, you finish and you have no idea whether the evening was worth anything. A month later you feel you have stood still, even though you played a hundred matches.
Ambitious players rarely have a motivation problem. Their problem is that the goal is too big to start on and too vague to measure progress against. And alongside it there is work or school, friends and the rest of life, none of which disappears just because a new season started.
What we do in the session
Thirty minutes one on one. We start from where you are now and what you realistically want to reach by a specific date.
- Turning a wish into a goal - with a deadline and a measure. Not aim better, but what should be different in eight weeks and how you will know.
- Breaking it into weeks - one area per week. More than that cannot be sustained, less than that makes no difference.
- Splitting time between playing and practising - they are not the same thing. We decide how much of the evening goes to matches and how much to drilling one specific skill.
- Fitting it around the rest of your life - work, study, people. A plan that assumes nothing will come up falls apart in the first difficult week.
- How to measure progress - in windows of ten matches, not after a single evening. One evening shows you noise, only a run shows direction.
- A checkpoint - a specific date on which you review whether the plan is working, and the moment you are allowed to change it.
Who this is for
For the player who puts in the hours but sees no gain and cannot say what they are actually working on. For anyone with a clear rank or tournament goal who wants to get there with a plan rather than with volume. And for people who feel gaming is starting to push everything else out of the calendar.
This is coaching for gaming performance and time management, not therapy and not medical advice.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a session about the game or about life?
About one through the other. The goal is a gaming one, but the plan has to fit into your real week or it will not survive.
I have a goal but I do not know what to fix in the game itself.
Then start by analysing your own matches: CS2 coaching or a Valorant session will show the specific mistakes, and here we will turn those into a plan spread across weeks.
Do I get anything in writing?
Yes, we write the plan down during the session so that something more than a conversation is left afterwards.
What if I miss the deadline?
That is normal and it is exactly what the checkpoint is for. A deadline is there to measure by, not to punish yourself with.
I also want to sort out the day itself. There is a separate session for that: daily plan for gamers. You can see everything we offer on the coaching.
