    The fix removes one cause, but not all of them. Check in this order, starting with the cheapest steps:<\/p>\n

    1. Polling rate.<\/strong> Very high values, 4000 Hz and above, add CPU load, and some games handle it badly. Set 1000 Hz and compare.<\/li>\n
    2. USB port.<\/strong> Plug the mouse straight into a port on the back of the motherboard, not through a hub or a monitor port.<\/li>\n
    3. Chipset drivers.<\/strong> An outdated chipset driver is a boring but common cause.<\/li>\n
    4. G-SYNC and FreeSync.<\/strong> Turn them off for the test to rule out the effect of display sync.<\/li>\n
    5. Wireless receiver.<\/strong> Keep it away from the router and USB 3.0 drives, which can interfere with the 2.4 GHz signal.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
