I see this too often to pretend that these are isolated cases. Someone books optimizations, saying that \u201cit has already been optimized\u201d because they downloaded some program, clicked a magic button, and it was supposed to be better. There was supposed to be more FPS, less lag, and a faster system. In practice, Windows barely works, games crash, sound disappears randomly, and the registry looks like it's been through an accident.<\/p>

I use Optimizer.exe here as a collective name. This is not an attack on one specific program, but on the entire category of automatic \u201cPC boosters.\u201d<\/p>

And let's be clear right away. This is not an objective, revealed truth. It is a subjective opinion based on interviews with customers prior to optimization.<\/p>

\u2022 advertisements promise miracles
\u2022 reality brings problems

It's a program that pretends to understand your computer better than you do. With one click, it \u201ccleans,\u201d \u201crepairs,\u201d and \u201cboosts.\u201d<\/p>

The list of functions usually looks similar:
\u2022 registry cleaning
\u2022 removal of unnecessary files
\u2022 RAM optimization
\u2022 boost FPS
\u2022 speeding up the Internet
\u2022 magic gaming profiles<\/p>

It sounds great on paper. In the real world, there is no context. The program doesn't know:
\u2022 what you play
\u2022 what engine you use
\u2022 what hardware you have
\u2022 what else you use your PC for<\/p>

He runs the script. The same one for everyone.<\/p>

There are, of course, very well-balanced solutions that do not impose their own \u201cwhims\u201d and can often be used for free.
For example, winutil<\/a><\/strong> by Chris Titus<\/strong>, which we can wholeheartedly recommend \u2013 a completely safe base for making basic changes to stock Windows.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Automatic optimizers treat it as a list of \u201cunnecessary entries.\u201d The algorithm sees a key it doesn't understand and removes it, changing it to a different value. Without context \u2013 just like that.<\/p>

From my experience:
\u2022 games stop launching because the GPU driver does not load correctly (e.g., Valorant has WHQL driver validation)
\u2022 audio disappears in the middle of a match
\u2022 BSODs appear randomly after a few days
\u2022 the system behaves \u201cstrangely,\u201d but no one knows why
\u2022 the event viewer is full of various errors<\/p>

The worst thing is that users often fail to connect the dots. The optimizer was a week ago. Crash today. \u201cProbably Windows.\u201d Reddit is currently flooded with posts like \u201cValorant not launching\u201d or \u201cValorant crashing on launch,\u201d \u201cValorant crashes PC,\u201d etc.<\/p>

And backup? Either it doesn't exist, or it's often useless.
Always make a full backup<\/strong> when you make system changes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

CS2, Valorant, Fortnite, LoL, Warzone. Each game:

\u2022 different system services
\u2022 different dependencies<\/p>

What helps one can slow down the other.<\/p>

You disable the service because it is \u201cunnecessary\u201d:
\u2022 Vanguard will not start
\u2022 Suddenly, your mouse\/keyboard or other USB device becomes undetectable
\u2022 .NET crashes
\u2022 DX starts behaving randomly<\/p>

Changing network settings for low ping can ruin your upload speed.
Maximum GPU performance can turn your computer into a hair dryer.
Closing certain background processes can kill your backup or data synchronization.<\/p>
